Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2019

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the services provided by Queen Bee Media, LLC (“Queen Bee Media,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By purchasing or using our services, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to these Terms.

1. Hosting Services

  • Hosting fees are non-refundable and non-prorated once purchased.
  • Services remain active until the end of the paid term unless cancelled earlier by the client.
  • Cancellation stops auto-renewal and prevents future charges, but unused time is forfeited.

2. Licensing (Themes, Plugins, API Keys)

  • Licenses provided by Queen Bee Media remain valid until their prepaid expiration date.
  • API keys tied to Queen Bee Media accounts may be revoked if services end.
  • Clients are responsible for obtaining their own licenses after expiration to continue receiving updates and support.

3. SSL Certificates

  • SSL purchases are non-refundable.
  • Certificates remain valid until expiration but will not be renewed once cancelled.

4. Billing & Auto-Renewal

  • All hosting, licensing, and SSL renew automatically unless cancelled in writing before the renewal date.
  • It is the client’s responsibility to request cancellation before the next billing cycle.

5. Refund Policy

  • All services are non-refundable once provisioned.
  • Early termination does not entitle the client to a prorated refund.

6. Access & Security

  • Upon service termination, Queen Bee Media revokes all server, license, and SFTP access.
  • Queen Bee Media does not retain access to client WordPress, hosting, or server accounts after cancellation.

7. Website Maintenance & Updates

  • Queen Bee Media strongly recommends that all WordPress core, themes, plugins, and server software (including PHP) remain up to date.
  • If a client chooses not to apply updates or declines recommended maintenance, Queen Bee Media is not responsible for any resulting errors, security vulnerabilities, downtime, or site breakage.
  • If the client requests Queen Bee Media to resolve issues caused by missed updates, work will be billed at our standard hourly rate with payment due upon invoice.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Queen Bee Media is not responsible for downtime, loss of data, or costs resulting from client-side migrations, third-party providers, or client-managed changes.
  • Clients are responsible for maintaining backups and transferring data before cancellation.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Minnesota.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing services from Queen Bee Media, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. Continued use of our services after updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
